Abstract
The broad impact of the new degree on our department and students required an immediate shift away from my initial promotion plan during the fall 2017 semester – with an in-depth focus on the effective roll-out of the new Visual Arts curriculum, departmental policies, and cursory academic needs.

Title of Plan: Standardization, Restructuring, Policy, and Curricula

Description of Plan including assessment methods:

Preparing for the roll-out of the new Visual Arts degree required a critical evaluation of departmental standards, policies, and curricula driven initiatives. Over the next three years, the Visual Arts department saw a considered move away from multi-directional, discipline driven procedures to a unified core Visual Arts strategic plan. As outlined on the Summary page, the Visual Arts strategic plan included academic, curricula, departmental, and policy initiatives.
